What can someone new expect at Oak Haven UMC?
You can expect to find a friendly, open congregation and a warm environment. Feel free to wear whatever clothing in which you are comfortable. You will find people in everything from blue jeans to suits/dresses.
Our English worship service (about one hour) is traditional in form, yet warm and relaxed. Our Spanish worship service (about two hours) utilizes contemporary praise music.
We celebrate the sacrament of communion (also know as the Lord’s Supper or Eucharist) on either the first (English) or second (Spanish) Sunday of the month.
We practice an open table. This means that all who wish to respond to the invitation are welcome to fully participate in communion regardless of age or background. You do not have to be a member of the church to participate.
